WELCOME TO MY TECHNOLOGY DANCE BLOG SITE
Something new coming for the 2026-2027 School Year. As our Prek Program has continued to grow we are opening a TK (Transitional Kindergarten) along with our other PreK classes for the 2026-2027 School Year. For several years now we have been asked by parents of our PreK students to have a Kindergarten Program. Based on the parent requests from parents whose children were younger 5 year old students who needed more time in the supportive growth environment we offered in our regular PreK classes, and after much thoughtful and prayerful consideration, Father John Hutta approved the launch of the Transitional Kindergarten program for the upcoming school year. We are currently accepting applications for that program along with our regular PreK 3 and 4 year old half-day and full-day programs. So if you are interested be sure to check out the information on the ST Theresa PreK Program WEBsite https://www.stsprekhellertown.com
The purpose for this blog is to share information and insights about using technology in the classroom with my fellow teachers and staff at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus PreK School Program in Hellertown, PA, USA. The blog was originally developed to help all of our staff in our PreK to 8 school. Unfortunately the Pandemic forced the closure of our K to 8 school program in June of 2020, but our PreK program has been operaing in person classes children 3 and 4 years old since the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year. We have continued to develop the technology portion of the program to expand the use of existing technology in the classroom and in our common instructional areas as well. This is now the end of my 17th year at St. Theresa’s School and Parish. I will be starting my 18th year in the 2025-2026 school year. I now provide tech support to the PreK Program, the Parish Office, and the Convent/RCIA and PREP staff. My goal is to help all of those I support and teach to have a better understanding of how to use technology as an instructional tool to enhance the learning experience of our students as well as helping all of those I teach to better understand the changing world of technology and how it impacts our broader lives, and how to manage those impacts more effectively. I am updating information on this blog and removing old information. I hope you find the information contained on this blog useful.
